The associate will set-up and operate die cut equipment in a clean concepts environment. You will operate equipment, troubleshoot processes, and perform basic maintenance tasks. You will cross-train in additional work centers as business needs and personal development plans dictate. Your first area of cross-training will be in the inspection area and responsibilities could include any of the following: testing, inspection, and packaging orders for shipment.

 

 

 

• Performing detailed and accurate record keeping
• Processing documentation, data entry and systems transactions
• Following written specifications and work instructions
• Participating in continuous improvement activities
• Supporting and practicing Operational Excellence (OPEX) concepts (5S, VSM)
• Learning, supporting, practicing, and teaching the Gore culture

Qualifications:

• College Degree or above
• Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing experience operating complex equipment
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Experience in prioritizing and performing multiple tasks
• Proven ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
• Demonstrated ability to:
  • Contribute at a high level within a team
  • Identify and drive continuous improvement.
  • Positively influence others
  • Make good product decisions
  • Adapt to changes quickly
• Commitment to meet or exceed manufacturing schedules
• Documentation skills and basic math skills
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds, bend, and inspect for extended periods of time
• Good English read and written communication skills
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn more advanced computer applications
• Excellent attendance record and timekeeping

 Desired Job Qualifications:

• Previous manufacturing experience in complex equipment 
• Experience working in the Automotive industry  
• Flexibility concerning shift work
