Position: Product Portfolio & Technology Strategy
Division/Department: Skoda China / Product Marketing & Corporate Strategy
Location: Beijing
Main goals and objectives:
? Manage the development of mid- and long-term strategies and roadmaps for the overall Skoda ChinaProduct Portfolio, and for key technical features for use across the futureSkoda China product portfolio
? Analyze overall China market regulations, overall market and segment sales trends and emerging automotive technologies across segments.
? Developand propose pricing strategies
? PR, portfolio and feature related volume planning
? Project management and project representation
? Know-how transfer
Your Responsibilities:
? Ensure the profitability and competitiveness of the Skoda brand in China in line with Market Growth Strategy objectives
? Develop competitive and customer oriented future Skoda Brand product portfolio scenarios and related sales forecast scenarios for top management reviews at VGC and HQ board level
? Define market specifications for key technical features, as well as market positioning, USPs, sales mix and pricing forecast proposals, and roll-out roadmaps for management decision committees before and during feature development phases.
? Build on technical and financial synergies within the VW Group when defining unique Skoda brand differentiators.
? Participate in feature related project teams and all their PEP related decision meetings at VGC, JVs and HQ. Regularly monitor project progress and critical issues in close cooperation with VGC, JV and HQ.
? Support a consistent implementation of defined strategic feature technologies across the Skoda China product portfolio in development phase (PEP) by aligning with the individual Product Managers within Skoda Product Marketing team.
? Support and implement improvement measures optimizing profitability, balancing customer orientation and financial optimization (KPE, Produkt Klausur) in cooperation with VGC, JV and HQ
? Monitor and analyze overall market legislations (e.g. CO2/NEV), competitor product portfolio and advanced technology strategies, as well as major consumer trends; define and propose measures to ensure the competitiveness and market share growth of the Skoda Brand portfolio
? Steer content and timing of market studies for innovative product concepts and advanced technologies with the market research team; analyze and interpret research results and industry studies, and derive recommendations for senior management.
? Develop and propose market- and competitor derived pricing strategies for future product portfolio scenarios and strategic cross-carline features. Identify market pricing optimization potentials, and support optimization of business case scenarios with Product Management and Controlling
? Monitor competition in cooperation with Market Intelligence managers to analyze the competitive price situation and periodical price index reports across vehicle segments;
? Liaise with the JV counterparts on pricing proposals, prepare comments and management recommendations for management approvals
? Develop and propose sales volume forecasts for product portfolio scenarios and cross-carline strategic technical features
? Support annual Business Plan (PR) planning with analysis and review of market, segment, vehicle and powertrain sales forecasts from various stakeholders.

? Identify opportunities to further optimize sales volume potentials.
? Build on insight from Skoda China Product Marketing experts on their respective products
? Manage cross-functional project teams, workshops and management debriefs concerning Business Planning Round, product (portfolio) definition and key technical features to ensure integration of proposed and approved product portfolio and feature strategies into the vehicle development process
? Act as Product Marketing bridge and interface to ensure all parties are aligned on designed strategies. Representation of product topics and negotiation of Marketing requests.
? Ensure timely and complete input of product portfolio and feature strategy related projects into PEP process and related committees (C-/K-VAP)
? Pre-committee preparation of briefings for C-MSK, C-/Skoda-/K-VAP and addressing critical issues
? Independent preparation of top management ready presentations and reports
? Responsible for building up expert knowledge on Chinese market. Implementation of market derived decisions as well as knowledge and know-how transfer within Product Marketing team, with Sales counterparts and other departments relating to PR, product portfolio, feature, and related price-, volume- and production-planning within VGC, JV and HQ.
Our Requirements:
Necessary education:
? University degree or above: business, economics, marketing and sales, business management or similar, preferred subject major in automotive management or automotive engineering

Working experience (in years):
? 8-10 years of professional experience in relevant fields such as product marketing or product management, combined with business and research analysis
? Automotive market (Chinese market preferred) and related product technology knowledge
? Quantitative analysis knowledge and skills
? Good data processing ability
Remarks (Language, IT Knowledge, Certificates etc.):
? Fluent English and German language skills essential, Chinese advantageous
