As a result of our global expansion, we're looking to hire Finance Data Operations team members for Flexport Asia to join our growing Asia Team. You will be part of Flexport’s Global Finance and Accounting Team which collaborates as a strategic partner to clients, partners and all internal departments. We need someone able to create strong processes and provide coverage in all time zones to keep up with our rapid international growth!

What you'll do:

• Be the main point of contact for any China VAT process related questions for the Flexport Asia team
• Develop and implement robust processes for VAT issuance, reconciliation, and overall handling
• Drive forward tactical execution with local China receivables
• Bridge the gap between China offline processes and Flexport online systems
• Collaborate with and support the local team and San Francisco headquarters on major accounting and finance initiatives

What you’ll bring:

• BA/BS or Masters degree in Finance / Accounting with a strong track record of success;
• 1-3 years of experience in accounting/finance;
• Fresh graduates with a high level of interest in Finance & Accounting are also welcome;
• Strong knowledge and ability to learn and apply technical accounting concepts in accordance with US GAAP and/or IFRS;
• Understanding of VAT processes and filings;
• Next-level attention to detail;
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills;
• Passionate about accounting, finance, logistics and international trade!
