JOB DESCRIPTION

Supplier QUALITY ENGINEER

POSITION: Supplier Quality Engineer

LOCATION: Shenzhen, China

REPORTING: QA Manager

BASIC: Responsible for the development and implementation of Quality Control and Quality Systems, and finished goods product inspection audits to support the Asian supply chain.

PRINCIPLE FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Perform quality Inspection at supplier

2. FA inspection and (mfg) inline checking

3. Supplier Process Control and Quality System

4. Corrective Action (identify product & mfg issues and recommend follow up corrective actions) within the manufacturing process

5. Monitor supplier manufacturing & quality processes

6. Assist BU with establishing product specifications for all product categories

7. Work with suppliers to identify continuous improvements

8. Ensure that suppliers follow all BU's product specification directives, design changes, material specifications, packaging specifications etc...

9. Assist with the implementation of the QMS at the supplier

10. Conduct periodic product audits at supplier factory

a. First Article inspections

b. In-Process inspections

c. Pre-Shipment inspections

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

¨ Be familiar with the hardware and/or bath industry, injection molding process, metal manufacturing, stamping, plating, die cast mfg

¨ Trained in quality assurance with regards to procedures, tools, disciplines and system/equipment functionality; SPC, FMEA, 6sigma, ISIR, PPAP, Lean Manufacturing techniques,

¨ Solid ISO9000 quality management knowledge and audit experience is a must.

¨ Must be a "hands on" person comfortable operating within a factory environment

¨ Basic PC and MS Office skill required

¨ Language skills: Native Chinese speaker. Proficient spoken and written English communication.

¨ Highly motivated self starter, without daily direct supervision, with a strong work ethic and a clear sense of dedication and urgency

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS:

¨ Hardware/bath production and quality control experience

¨ 4 year technical degree (mechanical, industrial, manufacturing engineering) preferred or equivalent experience

¨ 3 - 5 years in a manufacturing facility

QUALITY ASURANCE AUDITOR PROFILE:

¨ Frequent travel is required

¨ Willing to relocate per business needs

¨ Must be comfortable working in the factory on a daily basis

¨ Must be comfortable working in a heavy industrial environment
