This individual will lead the Quality Control and Inspection areas for the HoMedics Asian Quality Team.
Establish and maintain strong protocols and processes to ensure that product quality standards are adhered to at all times. Must be able to understand the implications of building and maintaining such systems and must be able to accomplish the building and maintaining of the system through cost and budget process. Must be able to conceptualize quality and product requirements and be able to translate them into usable, compliant protocols at the product inspection level.
Must have a very strong product testing background.

This role will be responsible for the day-to-day management of quality control activities at Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMO's) and Suppliers, ensuring that appropriate actions are conducted in response to any management aspects of controlling the outgoing quality of the products, and appropriate CAPAs are identified and implemented.

Responsibilities include:
? Oversee a large team of quality control inspectors who will inspect goods at the manufacturing organizations.
? Create, review and approve technical material needed to support the inspection program, while ensuring all documents are complete before sending to inspection team.
? Provide technical training to inspection team on an as-needed basis, and provide support, coaching and direction to the inspectors.
? Manage all aspects related to the logistic deployment of the inspection team, ensuring cost and resources are optimized and measured against risk considerations.
? Review and approve all reporting documentation needed in support to the inspection services.
? Perform product reviews during pilot runs and pre-production runs.
? Manage CMOs to proactively capture potential quality issues before they get to the inspection stage. Work closely with the Quality Assurance team on conducting such audits and assigning of CAPAs.
? Communicate critical and major issues to Quality Assurance and Senior Management.
? Review and evaluate HoMedics testing protocols and policies to assure consistency with pertinent best practices.



? Facilitate the sharing of best practices and help to drive continuous improvement and compliance at the CMO level.
? Evaluation of Key Performance Indicators and overall evaluation of risk assessment.
? Maintain expert knowledge of product requirement, company procedures, auditing, and quality principles.

? Perform other quality or compliance related duties as necessary.
? Will manage a team of about 40 quality inspectors, located in Shenzhen, Ningbo and Xiamen.
? Travel up to 40% of the time.


Desired Skills & Experience
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
? Technical degree in a related field, preferably engineering or quality.
? Thorough knowledge of inspection techniques, statistics and sampling plans.
? Minimum 10 years' experience in consumer products and direct quality control management experience. Direct supervisory responsibilities with ability to provide leadership and direction to QC team members.
? Must be able to conceptualize quality and product requirements, and be able to translate them into usable and measurable inspection deliverables.
? Experience with creating and maintaining quality procedures, and demonstrated ability to analyze, assess, and resolve problems are required.
? Strong Manufacturing background.
? Excellent verbal and written communications skills are needed; must be detail oriented with strong organization and planning skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
? Knowledge of cGMP, ISO and appropriate regulations (e.g., US and EU)
? Strong interpersonal skills, as this individual will work with all HoMedics CMOs.
? Requires good computer skills, Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Power Point and Word).
? Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
? Knowledge of English language, written and spoken, a strong plus.
