Role Goal:
Position ON Semiconductor for product leadership in focused automotive applications by leveraging product knowledge, applications expertise, business development, strong customer relationships and internal cross-functional collaboration.
Role Scope:
Define and manage the activity related to business development within the assigned Automotive OEMs.
- Achieve ON Semiconductor market share gains via design influence or directed buys by OEMs to Tier 1s.
- Individual should be a technical systems “expert” in ON Semiconductor prioritized automotive applications.
Must possess existing relationships with the key technical community at the specified OEMs.
Key Goals/Objectives/Activities:
As Manager Strategic Business Development
- Develop strong working relationships with the system’s architects, engineers, purchasing and management at assigned Automotive OEMs to become a trusted systems solutions strategic partner.
- Market development via strategic and technical engagement with assigned Automotive OEM's with the goal to drive increased adoption of ON Semiconductor products and application solutions.
- Identify and drive opportunities for ON Semiconductor product portfolio on OEM roadmaps.
- Engage with OEM systems architects and engineering decision makers/influencers to develop new/optimized architectures for automotive electronic systems by implementing the ON Semiconductor product portfolio.
- Be the respected internal automotive systems expert that will work with the SECs and BUs to develop ON Semiconductor systems solutions and product roadmaps for focus next-generation automotive applications.
- Closely collaborate with the BUs, Sales, FAEs and SECs to convert opportunities into design wins.
- Leverage applications expertise to support new product development in collaboration with Corporate Strategic marketing, Corporate R&D, Business Units and SECs.
- Develop, maintain and publish to all internal stakeholders automotive OEM technology and platform roadmaps.
- Understand ON Semiconductor strategic business goals and silicon TAM (Total Available Market).
- Perform competitive analysis in the assigned region. Develop and execute strategic plans to counter competition.
