General Position Summary:

The PCB layout engineer is responsible for hardware PCB layout activities of all Loud NPD products in Loud Shenzhen office.

Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:

® Internal & external PCB layout project management

® Take part in layout rule & design check list setting-up

® Component footprint/library creation, maintenance of PCB package library

® Lead and work on PCB layout, through whole process

® Component footprint/library creation.

® Design Engineering support, Production Engineering support as required.

® Oversee PCB design reviews, checks and approvals processes prior to design release.

® Help resolve technical queries from PCB fabricators and contract manufacturers.

Secondary Functions:

® Knowledge of configuration management tools, bills of materials and engineering change orders.

® The Draftsman supports engineers and anyone in the company who needs drawings made or maintained

® Perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Scope:

Works for NPD manager. The PCB layout engineer is able to take ownership of PCB layout design tasks and work with design engineers to complete the design process within the schedule assigned by PM .

Follows all applicable procedures.

Supervisory Responsibility: None.

Interpersonal Contacts:

This position primarily interacts with other engineering and test team members and operations team staff, outside vendors and contract manufacturers.

Specific Job Skills:

® Requires college’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.

® 3+ years of PCB layout experience, preferably in the audio industry.

® Knowledge of various PCB design guidelines.

® Should have hands on experience in single and multilayer PCB design.

® Must have experience with design for manufacture and EMC layout techniques.

® Familiar and proficient in using PCB design tools (PADS) is a must .

® Experience with analog ,digital and mixed signal PCB layout.

® Experience in extremely complex (high speed ,high density )PCB layout design is preferred .

® Familiar with IPC standard.

® Self-motivated , able to work independently with minimal supervision in an aggressive work environment .

® Able to meet tight schedule with attention to detail.

® good skills in English speaking , writing, reading .

Education and/or Experience:

Requirements: College degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.

Range: 3+ years’ experience as a technician.

Job Conditions:

Normal design engineering conditions apply, including occasional domestic and/or international travel.
