Job Description

Buyer – Food Packaging & Industrial Consumables is an integral member of the Allpak Solutions/ Visy Shenzhen Procurement Team with responsibility for identifying and sourcing products for both internal customers located in Australia and the USA and external customers globally. Specifically the responsibilities of this position encompass identifying best in class suppliers in the food packaging and industrial consumables categories for packaging products used in categories such as fruit and produce packaging, household and removalist packaging and general consumables used in manufacturing processes inclusive of Occupational Health and Safety items and other general factory items. Specifically the responsibilities of this role encompass:

· Identifying best in class suppliers for food packaging and consumable products

· Managing the supplier base to ensure quality of products remain consistent and to the agreed minimum quality level.

· Ensuring suppliers without fail Deliver In Full and On Time (DIFOT)

· Identifying new products that can be added to existing product ranges

· Working with internal stakeholders to ensure that all key value requirements are met in terms of service and delivery requirements

· Day to Day order management and tracking

REQUIREMENTS Mandatory

· Tertiary Degree in discipline relevant to this position

· Minimum 5 years experience in buying packaging or consumable products for export orientated businesses.

Packaging experience preferential

· Demonstrated background in delivering projects, engineering experience preferential

· Good know how of purchasing and procurement processes

· Able to work with internal customer from abroad autonomously

· Good knowhow of managing suppliers in terms of sourcing, project development , quality and price control

· English Skill: CET 4 or above
