GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY
The Channel Marketing and Sales Consultant, China is responsible for working in conjunction with assigned distributors to develop and coordinate MI and Pro Audio channel marketing and sales efforts for all Mackie and Ampeg products. This role is responsible for supporting the deployment of marketing programs and campaigns that create and build brand awareness, improve perception of the brands among strategic end user segments, and promote sell-through, especially in the retail channel (both online as well as in bricks and mortar outlets). The ideal candidate has broad exposure to the Chinese market for MI and Pro Audio products (or Consumer Electronics) and has a record of success building strong and positive brand associations resulting in sales growth. The position is structured as 75% marketing and 25% sales.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
? Develop and execute marketing and sales plans to build Mackie and Ampeg brand perception and adoption in China.
? Coordinate closely with distributors to monitor brand-related activity online as well as at trade shows and other dealer and end user events.
? Identify strategic marketing opportunities and project manage appropriate activities to ensure full implementation and realize greater market adoption of products.
? Audit marketing efforts in China and make recommendations for ongoing improvements.
? Analyze sales data to highlight and maximize market growth potential by product line.
? Review, evaluate, and report on margin expectations, requirements, and actual performance in market.
? Act as interface between Loud Technologies and its assigned distributors in China.
? Ensure that new product launches are efficient and effective, giving attention to all necessary details.
? Implement end user engagement programs and activities.
? Manage social media efforts (including content creation) to achieve brand awareness, interest, and loyalty.
? Perform end user surveys and collect observations to develop insights that contribute to a greater corporate understanding of the China market.
? Monitor marketing and sales efforts of competitors to gain advantage in marketplace.
? Localize and implement channel marketing materials and programs aggressively.
? Realize strong relationships with market influencers (artists, performers, bloggers, industry press, etc.).
? Develop merchandising standards and plans for retailers. Assist in execution.
? Perform other duties as assigned.

JOB SCOPE
The Channel Marketing and Sales Consultant, China will utilize experience and expertise to create and follow through on a successful strategy for supporting all Mackie and Ampeg products in their respective sales channels. The Channel Marketing and Sales Consultant, China will interact and collaborate with assigned distributors on location, thus building robust partnerships with leaders in each organization as well as in the field with retailers. This role will be responsible for championing our brands with market influencers and end user customers throughout mainland China.

This position does not have direct reports.

INTERPERSONAL CONTACTS
? Combine efforts with international marketing, sales, and product teams.
? Participate in planning and implementation with marketing and sales teams within distributor organizations.
? Utilize a proactive approach to maximize brand impression and potential among stakeholders and end users.
? Act as brand ambassador with distributors, dealers, and market influencers.
? Enact innovative approaches with colleagues and partners and solicit feedback.

SPECIFIC JOB SKILLS
? Market research, brand building, product marketing and sales strategy creation, and relationship management.
? Effective use of Chinese social media (e.g., WeChat) and online retail platforms (e.g., TMall, Taobao).
? Interact with and present information to internal and external audiences.
? Long-term business relationship development with internal colleagues and external partners.
? Understanding of multi-cultural environments and practices as well as regional business cultures.
? Complete fluency in Mandarin and English.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
? Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in marketing, business, technology, or other related field.
? 3-5 years of product marketing or channel sales experience.
? Experience and/or educational background in multiple aspects of marketing campaigns and demand generation activities related to selling and promoting technical audio products including: Events; sales tools; promotional campaigns; direct mail; digital marketing; marketing communications, graphic design; and presentation.

JOB CONDITIONS

? Based in Shenzhen area.
? Local and national travel to support programs, dealers, and/or tradeshows.
