Our Shenzhen-based R&D group will engineer the Connected Home solutions of the future. Title of Position: Embedded Systems Engineer Position Type: Full Time (Salary)
Location: Shenzhen, China
Reports to: Lead Hardware Architect
Position Summary: Embedded system engineer interesting in developing cutting edge cloud connected intelligent wireless device
Essential Functions or Responsibilities of the Position:
Required Qualifications:
● Design and implementation of key firmware functions for our ARM-Cortex based cloud connected battery powered wireless product
● Follow good design practices in embedded software development by modeling the function specifications before implementation
● Recursive testing in order to produce high quality, and robust code
● Work close with embedded hardware development for to optimize both hardware and
software functions
● Quality documentation of design, implementation, and testing results
Required Technical Skills:
● Professional embedded system design skills
● Professional embedded software development skills
● Strong low level programming skills in Assembly, C, C++
● Deep understanding of common embedded digital communication medias and protocols,
including I2C, SPI, I2S, Ethernet, TCP/IP, UDP/IP
● Deep understanding of power and calculation constraint microcontroller architectures
● Deep knowledge of both digital and analog hardware circuitry
● Excellent system level, hardware component level, and software component level testing
and troubleshooting skills
● Experience in Real-Time operating systems for embedded systems
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Additional Technical Skills:
● Hands-on experience in embedded system PCB design
● Python/Java/JavaScript experience is a plus
   
● Experience of low-power 32-bit ARM-Cortex microcontrollers
● Experience integrating sensors and using sensor data in decision making at low level
firmware
● Experience implementing low level drivers for microcontroller peripherals
● Understanding of analog and digital signal processing
● Wireless sensor networks experience
● Wireless networks experience: 802.11, 802.15.4, or equivalent
● Familiarity with component based design
● Familiarity with Eclipse
● Familiarity with at least one, version control tool
● Familiarity with UML or similar system design tools
Education / Experience:
● 3+ years of professional embedded software development experience
● 1+ years of analog and digital embedded systems development experience
● Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineer,
Electronics Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineer, Electrical and Computer
Engineer or equivalent experience
● Ability to communicate in both English and Chinese (spoken and written)
