Key Responsibilities/ KPI's
Factory Audits; complete and deliver thorough reports regarding new vendors.
Production audits; supervise Quality Assurance processes and ensure the effective delivery of products, by quality and deadline.
Vendor Relationship Management; manage and develop vendor relationships to the overall benefit of the business. Including but not limited to:
- Price negotiations
- Product specification deliverance
- Packaging negotiation
- Quality Assurance management
- Dispute resolution
- Delivery and transport of stock according to agreements
- Additional vendor visits, where required
- Global Certification information, search and compliance
Timely management, delivery and labeling of product samples required by the PD team.
Co-ordination of re-work and post-production activities, where required.
Travel if required to meet with suppliers and attend product sourcing fairs.
Organisation and management of Kaiser Baas staff travel, accommodation and vendor meetings..
Source and test all product prototypes and samples and feed information back to the Product and Marketing team.
Communicate known issues and potential resolutions to key internal positions.
Assist the Marketing team to create Sales and Marketing materials.
Protect the integrity and business interests of Kaiser Baas with the up most care.
Visit the market regularly to identify new product opportunities.
Report on competitor activities.
Assist in the regular flow of market information across the business.
Requirements
Solid technical background with understanding and/ or hands-on experience in Consumer Electronic construction and components.
Vendor Relationship Management expertise.
Quality Assurance expertise.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills (Bi-lingual).
Strong problem solving skills and willingness to roll up one's sleeves to get the job done.
The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and as one part of a highly-functioning team.
The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and as one part of a highly-functioning team.
The ability to follow instruction where given and to embrace constructive criticism as part of the pathway to improvement.
