Background
An international, Swiss-headquartered business consultancy with offices on four continents, we are pleased to announce a vacancy for a Freelance Editorial Designer for, at a minimum, a 5-week period from late July to late August to support our business operations based in OCT-LOFT, Shenzhen, Guangdong, China. There is potential for an extension beyond the initial 5 weeks.
Position summary
As a Freelance Editorial Designer, your mission will be to support our China-based Editorial Designer in creating design solutions that have a high visual impact. This includes print materials such as corporate reports and digital presentations. Your role involves applying specified design parameters to Chinese-language texts, while coordinating closely with English-language colleagues. You will be required to conform closely to established corporate design codes.
Competencies
This work demands strong design skills, an excellent command of Adobe InDesign, and a professional approach to people and deadlines. You should excel at providing visual displays for quantitative data. Within the parameters provided, you must be able to complete tasks in a pro-active, forward-thinking and independent manner.
Minimum qualifications
? B.A. degree in creative design or equivalent.
? At least 2 years of relevant professional experience.
? Proficiency in relevant design tools, especially Adobe InDesign, and a portfolio demonstrating your skills using that software.
? Chinese native speaker with good English communication skills.
? Willing to work out of our office in Nanshan, Shenzhen on most days.
