职位描述：
The Portable Electronics Venting Group is looking for an experienced Engineer to join our Asia Pacific business organization in Shenzhen or Hong Kong as an Acoustic Applications Engineer to support our fast growing business in the region. Our global team develops, manufactures, and sells pressure and acoustic venting products for the portable electronics and mobile phone industry.

This role provides technical support to sales & marketing associates mainly in China and will partner with internal associates in Asia Pacific and other regions to drive growth of PEV’s existing products through deep product and application knowledge.

The responsibilities of this position include:
 
? Developing in-depth market and application understanding in portable electronics
? Understanding customers’ acoustic needs and collaborate with experts from overseas to fulfill those needs utilizing and developing local laboratory capabilities
? Sense, define, communicate and prioritize acoustics customer needs internally
? Educating the sales & marketing team and customers on product performance characteristics, applications, and installation processes
? Uncovering unmet needs to support and provide input to new product development process
? Supporting customer validation activities to ensure the elements of Fit-For-Use and the customer requirements are met
? Support product commercialization and market introduction
? Coordinating cross functional efforts to effectively satisfy customer needs

Qualifications:

? Minimum of 3 years experience – technical (including acoustics) or customer application support
? B.S. Engineering or Acoustical Engineering
? Knowledge and experience in mobile phone acoustics and related hands-on skills
? Demonstrated responsiveness to customer inquiries
? Strong communication skills, both written and verbal in English and Mandarin with external customers directly
? Ability to travel about 30% mostly domestically in China with some global travel
? Experimental design and analysis skills to support lab based testing
? Demonstrated self-motivation & ability to work at a fast pace
? Demonstrated success making risk based decisions with limited data

? Application Engineer Experience
? Demonstrated success working with and gathering information in complex, large scale multi-national organizations
? General knowledge of die cut manufacturing
? Pressure sensitive adhesive knowledge
? Additional business education (continuing education/business degree)
? Experience supporting sales of high value, premium, and/or technically differentiated products ("value selling")
? Ability to understand CAD & Solidworks and create CAD drawings 举报 分享
