Job description tasks.
Installing and configuring:
Computer hardware, software, IT related cables,
Printers, scanners and telephone
Adding and removing users from various internal systems:
Email/ Active Directory & other authentication services.
Configuration of various clients: email, Whatsapp etc.
Planning and undertaking scheduled maintenance.
Talking to computer users to determine perceived problems.
Responding to IT system breakdowns with methodical and meticulous test systems.
Investigating, diagnosing and solving computer software and hardware faults.
Repairing equipment and replacing parts.
Ensuring that each computer is internally cleaned and audited for the following:
Addition/removal of parts.
Approved software correctly installation and
Removal of any unauthorized software.
Checking computer equipment for electrical safety. (Damaged cables)
Maintaining records of software licenses.
Maintaining records of hardware allocation to users.
Obtaining replacement or specialist components, fixtures or fittings to:
Ensure equipment maintains functionality.
Managing stocks of equipment, consumables and other supplies.
Agreeing timescales.
Key skill requirements
English language
Technical skills in maintenance & configuration of the following:
AD Server, DHCP, NTP, email configuration, VPN configuration
Print driver & print server configuration.
Network configuration and partitioning.
Software install, drivers
System familiarity Windows 8.1,10,2012r2,Ubuntu,Centos
Asterisk PBX system
Organizational skills (time management)
Communication skills
A meticulous and methodical nature
A logical mind
Capable of working well under pressure
Enthusiasm to continually learn
