Position: Group ICE Portfolio / Group Product Strategy & Clinics
Division/Department: Group Strategy and Sales & Marketing
Location: Beijing
Main goals and objectives:
You will be a key member in the team which will define the overall VGC portfolio in China, with the overall goal to maintain the Group’s overall market leadership and brand perception of being dynamic, innovative and trustworthy.
You will report to the head of Volkswagen Group China (VGC) Group Product Strategy & Research to develop and steer Internal Combustion Engines (ICE) product strategies for future Volkswagen Group China product offers;
? Defining VGC’s ICE portfolio strategy based on current legislation and environmental concerns
? Identifying customer acceptance and preferences within ICE portfolio.
? Be responsible to define the positioning and differentiation of ICE portfolio against the Group’s planned New Energy Vehicle (NEV) portfolio; as well as between various VGC brands
Your Responsibilities include:
? Identify existing and new potentials within the ICE market
? Conceive necessary market research measures; and subsequently to align with Group functions and Product Team (reports, clinics, etc.)
? Jointly define and steer development of overall ICE positioning
? Compiling and disseminating relevant and up-to-date information on ICE technology and market trends; including emissions legislation
? Provide Group Sales and Marketing feedback for Group strategy towards fulfilling emissions legislation
? Define clear substitution processes for ICE segments; and in between ICE and NEV / BEV segments
? Lead substitution discussion between brands on all key projects and platforms for ICE segments

Our Requirements:
Necessary education:
? University Degree and above; preferably Masters’ Degree in Business / Economics / Engineering or similar
Personal skills:
? Strong research, analytical, problem solving skills
? Client and detail oriented; able to work well independently and also in a team environment
Working experience (in years):
? Minimum 3-7 years professional work experiences in relevant fields as product marketing, product development, product planning, business / research analysis
? Strong technical knowledge; in particular ICE technologies and trends; and on-going development in the industry
? Knowledge in Group Product Marketing and experience in Chinese automotive industry and market
Remarks (Language, IT Knowledge, Certificates etc.):
? MS Office proficient
? Proficiency in technical reports and memo creation
? Knowledge of the automotive industry, including inner workings and terminologies
? Knowledge of Volkswagen Group’s product development process is advantageous
? English language skills is essential, including good grasp of Business English and official English writing; fluency in a second language either German or Chinese (Mandarin) is much preferred.
