GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY
LOUD Technologies Shenzhen Engineering team is seeking a Program Manager to lead original design manufacture (ODM) development projects. The Program Manager will work directly with LOUD ODM partners and the LOUD product development team to plan and execute product development initiatives. A clear understanding of project management practices and their application is required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
? Create and manage ODM project development schedules, budgets and resources with input from lead/system engineers and development teams.
? Develop and oversee project scope and priorities in tandem with internal product management partners.
? Track all project activities and deliverables to completion.
? Facilitate the identification of all potential project and design risks and develop mitigation plans to reach resolution. Manage the communication and resolution of issues between departments and teams.
? Facilitate weekly development meetings internally and with ODM partners to maintain synergy, identify critical path and address all open deliverables. Keep development teams focused on project priority goals.
? Maintain weekly and monthly project documentation, metrics and reporting tools.
? Coordinate project deliverables between internal, external and ODM design partners.
? Manage projects within a formal stage gate process.
? Prepare and conduct executive-level project plans and PowerPoint presentations with project status.
? Provide monthly project reporting updates to the vice president of engineering.
SECONDARY FUNCTIONS
? Manage and track prototype allocations (engineering, trade shows, test, photo shoots, beta, etc.).
? Coordinate long lead component availability with purchasing.
? Work with contract manufacturers on quoting, tooling, and first 3-month PO fulfillment.
? Assist engineering's coordination of sub-assembly builds with manufacturing and third party suppliers.
? Perform other related duties as assigned.
JOB SCOPE
This position reports do the New Product Development (NPD) Manager and is accountable to that position for the above engineering deliverables.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
INTERPERSONAL CONTACTS
Position requires frequent interaction with all levels of personnel from numerous departments and locations. Position has access to confidential information such as product strategies, concepts & product costing.
SPECIFIC JOB DUTIES
This role will interact with many other areas of the LOUD organization across different geographies and cultures. Interaction is also required with external ODM partners around the globe. Ability to adapt to different work environments, philosophies and personalities while achieving results is critical. External contact with audio consultants, vendors, contractors, and customers is encouraged.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
? bachelor degree in a related field and/or equivalent experience. A technical qualification highly desired.
? 8+ year experience in operations or engineering project management position in audio and/or electronics based industry.
JOB CONDITIONS
? Office and engineering environment.
? The position requires schedule flexibility to meet deadlines, and occasional domestic and international travel.
? Frequent after-hours interaction with vendors and development partners.
? Occasional exposure to high-levels of music and/or other audio signals for which hearing protection may be provided/required.
