职位描述：

This job position is required to create and manage a laboratory for product and component testing for both NPD and Global Operations purposes. The lab will start as a paint evaluation lab and grow, on an as needed basis into the various disciplines of testing products. The position is likely to include one report(lab technician). We are looking for a lab person that is either at a Senior Technician or Junior Manager level who will have a very strong background in the evaluation of coatings such as paint, the salary is determined upon the relevant work experiences in this area.

Responsibilities:

1. Comprehensive evaluation of colour samples sent in by suppliers follow up by giving useful feedback that gives good direction regarding meeting the paint being an acceptable match to Breville standards.
2. Interfacing with suppliers to work with them on achieving paint match and durable formulations.
3. Timely execution of testing requested by various disciplines across the company.
4. Maintain awareness of and compliance with health and safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
5. Take corrective action within delegations authorities to remedy safety hazards or risks and restore a safe working environment. Refer to Manager as required.
6. Employee Responsibilities-Prevent injuries by reporting any safety maintenance of equipment or hazards.
7. Adhere to the Policies and Procedures in relation to OH&S and Injury Management.
8. Maintain awareness of and compliance with company Quality Control/Compliance/Confidential/Intellectual Property policy.
9. Maintain all files and records in an accurate manger to ensure ease of retrieval of information.

Required:

1. Design a process for evaluation coatings and matching colour that can be used across all product.
2. Able to work with factories and formulators to give guidance in getting a colour match and meet coating standards.
3. Specify equipment and lay out for colour laboratory.
4. Develop on an as needed basis, test facility for a growing product testing laboratory.
5. Adherence to strict confidentiality requirements at all times.

Qualifications and experience:

• Strong background in coating applied to various substrates. Emphasis on colour formulating and matching along with mechanical durability.
• Strong background in laboratory operations and procedures.
• Strong written and spoken communication skills in English and Mandarin.
• Microsoft Office Applications skills.
• Ability to develop and execute testing procedures and disseminate into appropriate documentation.
• Being self motivated and driven to deliver a successful outcome.
