Responsibilities:
1. Gather, coordinate and apply basic engineering data, using established and appropriate or defined engineering principles and procedures.
2. Work on assignment involving specific parts or components to improve performance and efficiency, reduce cost and simplify design.
3. Translate guidance and engineering principles and procedures into usable working direction for assigned projects.
4. Conduct the draft development for assigned projects. Recommend technical approaches to be used to accomplish goals.
5. Conduct statistical analysis: reviews components during sampling stages, ensuring compliance with approved drawings and functional specs. Conduct relevant functional and dimensional tests on components.
6. Confer with Engineering Manager and Project Management teams on regular basis.
7. Perform such individual assignments as supervisors and superiors may direct; ensure adequate and continuous controls are exercised over all assigned activities affecting quality; establish and maintain effective work relationships within the Engineering department, the Corporation and the community; and maintain the professional competence, knowledge and skill necessary for the satisfactory performance of all assigned responsibilities.
8. Research and develop new processes, materials and technologies to further our capabilities and knowledge.
9. Stationed in Shenzhen office with regular travel to factories located in China.
Requirements:
1. Min. 3 years’ of experience in plastic injection molding, tooling and component development.
2. In depth knowledge of engineering principles, techniques and methods with the discipline to apply them.
3. Proficient in Solidworks.
4. Knowledge of AQL – in both definition and application.
5. Fluent in English and Mandarin.
