DJO Global, Inc. is a leading global provider of high-quality, orthopedic devices, with a broad range of products used for rehabilitation, pain management and physical therapy. We also develop, manufacture and distribute a broad range of surgical reconstructive implant products. We are currently seeking an outstanding Strategic Sourcing Manager based in Shen Zhen, our China procurement and supply chain office.

Summary

Reporting directly to commodity director based in Vista, our global corporate headquarters, this position will lead global Sourcing activities for soft goods category. The successful candidate will be one of the primary sourcing representatives for the Bracing and Supports division of DJO Global. This includes planning, development, execution and monitoring of procurement strategies & tactics. This position will also report to our Head of China procurement.

Specific responsibilities / accountabilities of this position include:

? Developing and executing sourcing strategies to drive year over year improvement in total cost, lead time, payment terms, supplier quality, and service levels
? Evaluating, selecting and negotiating with suppliers to ensure the best value to DJO
? Leading cross functional teams with engineering, manufacturing, and marketing to ensure improvements are implemented on time with no quality issues
? Managing supplier relationships and agreements
? Understanding cost drivers for major categories
? Actively participate in New Product Introduction (NPI) process to ensure that proper supplier selection is made


Qualifications:

? 8 + years experience required with expertise in procurement processes and best practices
? Bachelor’s degree required, masters degree preferred
? Experience with market trends, supplier economics, and benchmark sources for plastics (including injection molding), fabrications, electrical and electronic, power supplies etc.
? Demonstrated project management success leading cross functional teams to meet or exceed targets required
? Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills required
? Strong negotiation and communication skills required
? Experience with eProcurement systems, including working knowledge of eRFX and eAuctions, preferred
? Understanding of lean manufacturing (e.g., pull systems, continuous improvement, 5s, etc.) preferred
