DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:

General Purpose:

Responsible for effectively managing all strategic operational
processes and resourcing, and leading an organization in order to
achieve and maintain operational excellence. Provide exceptional
support to customers & Customer Focus team members.



Recruitment and Retention:

* Identify people requirements that meet the needs of the Customers
Focus Team and the customer / product (i.e. # of IE’s, MFG’s, MPS’s,
ME’s, TE’s & QE’s).

* Communicate people requirement to Functional Managers.

* Communicate criteria to recruiters for Functional Management position
candidates.

* Monitor team member turnover, identify key factors that can be
improved and make improvements.



Employee and Team Development:

* Identify individual and team strengths and development needs on an
ongoing basis.

* Create and validate training curriculum in area of responsibility.

* Coach and mentor Customer Focus Team daily to deliver excellence to
every internal and external customer.



Principle Accountabilities:

* Manage appropriate staffing and inventory levels.

* Establish clear measurable goals and objectives to determine
individual and team results (i.e. operational KOI, knowledge of
operational roles and responsibilities, results against project
timelines).

* Drive individuals and the team to continuously improve in key
operational KOI and in the achievement of the customers and Customer
Focus team goals.

* Provide on going feedback to Functional Managers of the team members
contribution to the Customer Focus team.

* Supervise production staff on work method and quality checkpoints.

* Co-ordinate with other departments and other Flextronics sites to
drive for excellence.

* Coordinate efforts of operations team by establishing procurement,
production and engineering services policies and practices.

* Ensure ISO and safety standards are adhered to.

* Report to leadership team in weekly operations reviews.

* Coach and mentor Operations leadership.

* Coordinate activities of large teams and keep them focused in times
of crises.

* Leverage industry practices and apply to internal systems and
processes.

* Implement appropriate HR strategies and actions to recruit and retain
a qualified and motivated workforce.



Cost Management:

* Identify creative ways to reduce cost by streamlining processes and
systems, elimination of non-value-added processes.

* Utilize tools to monitor departmental cost and cost trends, striving
continuously to improve value.
