Job Purpose:
This role is to assist the Head of Sales to manage the transition of the Speedo China business smoothly from a licensed business to new distribution arrangements.
Engage with existing offline franchisees and prospective new offline franchisees, negotiate terms & contracts and manage orders and sales. Be the day-to-day primary contact and relationship holder with offline customers.

? Head of Sales
? Business Development Manager & Sales Manager
? Speedo regional and China teams
? All Hong Kong and Nottingham based cross-functional teams especially; Product, Category, Retail, Marketing, Operations, Finance, Customer Service & Supply Chain
? Global BD colleagues and Multi-National Account Team (MNA’s)
? Pentland cross-functional teams, especially Legal, IBD & Other Brands
? Franchisees, Retailers & Stores

Areas of Accountability:
? Engage with existing franchisees and responsible for sell-in, sell out, stock turn, payment and order book management including managing overdue order book and delivering assigned related KPI’s
? Assist Head of Sales to establish franchisee scorecard and evaluate & improve existing franchisees’ performance
? Recommend and engage with potential new customers to expand distribution network & grow offline sales
? Work with Product Manager to guide, influence and support distributors to buy in commercial product assortment every season
? Assist with Head of Sales and Legal team to establish trading agreements and negotiate terms & conditions with prospective customers
? Design and deliver joint strategic business & brand plans with customers that are fully aligned to Speedo strategy
? Accountable for delivering harmonious and brand aligned Marketing and Trade Marketing programmes with customers
? Store and customers’ visits as required to the local market to provide insight on customer activity & store performance
? Provide regular insight back to Head of Sales:
                   a.Local market activity, intelligence, sales-in & sales out data
                   b.Competitor performance
                   c.Sales, Marketing, Retail activity
                   d.Financial comparisons to budgets, targets, YOY etc.
? Support the planning, delivery and execution of National Sales Conferences, Sales Meetings, and support customers’ Wholesale Meeting (as required)

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:
? Strong sales background with extensive sales experience in China.
? Proven track record with at least 5 years’ experience working in Wholesale, Retailing or Category management roles for sports, apparel & footwear brands.
? Experience of managing distributor business model, where execution is owned and delivered via 3rd parties
? Excellent communicator with strong written & verbal in Mandarin & English.
? PC literate; Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook. Digitally savvy.
? Strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen, planning & organisation skills.
? Good persuasive, negotiation & influencing skills.
? Exceptional teamworker & relationship builder, with both customers and colleagues alike.
? Determined and self-motivated with passion for goal delivery.
? Working knowledge of international contract law & competition law is advantageous
? Highly mobile, willing to travel frequently.
