Barry Wilson Project Initiatives (BWPI) is an innovative, international construction design and management consultancy focused on bringing contemporary solutions to Clients. Developing creative, novel responses to projects is key to practice ethos, challenging conventional approaches to problem solving.

The company was established in 1996 by Mr. Barry Wilson, a famous British urban planner, first in Hong Kong and subsequently in Shanghai (2001) and Shenzhen (2009). The urbanisation studio focuses on the problems related to city expansion, utilising sustainable design solutions for large scale public sector infrastructure projects; particularly those related to urban and transport planning; landfill and land reclamation; and drainage, and water utilisation. The lifestyle studio concentrates on building development with a focus on real estate and construction management issues through architecture and interior architecture projects. High and low tech solutions related to energy use, greening, functionality and maintenance define the key values.

The practice forms strategic relationships with international experts in specialist fields and famous universities in order to bring the highest knowledge base to each specific project on a case by case basis.
