Advanced Specialist Calibration

Tasks

Responsible for integration, calibration, testing and validation of Powertrain functions of electric and hybrid vehicles at the HiL and on vehicles

Key Responsibilities

- Responsible for the integration and validation of the base calibration of Powertrain control units in the vehicle

- Responsible for failure analysis together with component development and function development team until bug-fix confirmation

- Responsible for the final calibration of functions with special focus on China-specific and customer related functions

- Further development of market- and customer specific Powertrain functions as input for requirement specification of future projects

- Establishing calibration data management database system for all Powertrain control units

- Responsible for root cause analysis and problem solving of Powertrain related quality issues at development cars

- Support for root cause analysis of Powertrain related quality issues at production and customer cars

- Responsible for the safe operation of test vehicles incl. planning and performing software and hardware updates on control units and further development of the measurement systems in cooperation with the test equipment supplier

Qualifications

- Bachelor or Master Degree in electrical engineering, electrical power engineering, software engineering, mechanical engineering or related majors

- Languages skills: Chinese, English business fluent or German business fluent

- Good knowledge in Microsoft office

- Training for operation of automotive high voltage systems (training can also be performed at BMW Brilliance Automotive after on-boarding)

- Self-responsible and reliable working attitude and initiative

- Functional understanding for hybrid functions and electric vehicles

- Analytic and working method, also during work under pressure

- Knowledge in function development, calibration and measurement tools (Matlab/Simulink, HiL, INCA)

- Willingness to travelling inside China and extended trips to Munich (2 to 12 weeks)

- Excitement for new energy vehicles and testing operations

- Working experience as engineer in calibration or function development, 1-3 years

- Working experience in the automotive development for Powertrain or vehicle electronics, 1-3 years

- Working experience with calibration and measurement systems, 1-3 years

- Optional working experience with high voltage systems like HV batteries and E-motors, electric energy converters and bus communication, 1-3 years
