Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, this position has overall responsibility for the management, organization and coordination of IMAX China’s consolidated Financial Planning. This includes the timely production of annual budgets and quarterly re-forecasts of the entire operation. Other key responsibilities and duties include the timely delivery of high level reporting on results for senior management and stakeholders, detailed analysis of results compared to plan, special projects and ad hoc requests.

What you will be doing:

• Perform overall budgeting and forecasting of consolidated Profit & Loss statement.
• Support budgeting and forecasting of Balance Sheet and Cash Flow.
• Provide financial insight through thought process, modelling, and any other tools to aid in reaching the appropriate financial decisions for the business.
• Create and submit budget/forecasts for Corporate, Executives, Board Members and Investors
• Prepare certain notes to the consolidated financial statements.
• Prepare Board of Directors reports and key statistics used and distributed in conference calls and Board meetings.
• Conduct monthly closing and ensure the accuracy and efficiency.
• Assist in producing an accurate picture of the financial health of IMAX China which is then shared with our investors.
• Assist in ad hoc projects where financial support is needed.

What we are looking for:

• Bachelor degree and/or CPA
• Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in accounting or finance with at least 2 years in a planning/budgeting role that involved having to coordinate a planning process. Big 4 is a plus.
• Excellent computer skills (Excel) and financial modelling skills, and familiarity with automated budgeting/reporting tools.
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Able to handle multiple demands and competing priorities.
• A self-starter who is able to work and think independently.
• Experience with SAP an asset
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal in English and Chinese.
• Organizational skills and ability to prioritize work.
