Instruct/ train users
Coordinate work packages in IT service requests and in IT as well as carline projects
Identify recurring / similar IT incidents and forward IT incidents to problem management
Inform local organizations regarding new or adjusted shop floor applications; support and coordinate the local shop floor application implementation at all sites
Solve incidents for production-critical applications as second-level support (e.g. initiate escalation scenarios (technically and hierarchically) for problems/ emergencies such as production shutdowns, etc.) via remote access and on-site service respectively
Identify and report optimization potentials (e.g. show process deficits in supporting the systems, etc.), elaborate optimization proposals as well as implement derived measures
Analyze and clarify critical problems with internal and external partners (e.g. act as contact person and clarify critical issues related to PC-controlled machines with the manufacturers, etc.)
Process IT service requests and IT incidents in second level support for all critical applications and DRX production systems
Service critical appliances in second level support
Recognize and avert incidents using instruments (monitoring)
Specialized knowledge / education:
Professional/graduate education (experienced professional) usually acquired through a bachelors degree or professional certification with a few (two to three) years of experience in the related field (proficient in a technical, scientific or specialized field requiring an understanding of a body of theoretical knowledge)
Work experience:
Type of activities: Design/set up methods of resolution for differing situations, including detailed analysis of the situation/causes
Scope: Clearly defined, but not comprehensive guidelines; general monitoring of success (after activity is completed)
Additional knowledge:
General IT infrastructure knowledge (server, network)
Hardware troubleshooting
Excellent English language abilities (speak and write)
