Unlimited Sourcing Connections (USC) Limited
Quality Controller
USC is a branch office of our Hong Kong based, Western owned consumer and building products company with a sister office in Shenzhen. The company has been in business over 12 years and we ship millions of units of product per year in many different categories to retailers and importers around the world.
We are looking for 2 right persons to support our building products division (specifically handle: Flooring, Fencing & Decking of wood & bamboo.) and consumer electronic division (specifically handle: Home appliance & AV product.)
Areas of Responsibilities:
? Co-ordinate with selected suppliers and merchandising team on overall merchandising product development in Asia Pacific including but not limited to production status, quality assurance and new product development projects.
? Liaise with external test laboratories and suppliers to ensure that all products sourced / manufactured are tested for compliance to the Company technical and European safety standard.
? Support merchandising team on supplier assessment and evaluation and participate in buying trips.
? Conduct return analysis and to drive for return reduction by working with suppliers / Engineer on continuous product quality improvement.
? Perform quality claim investigation and to technically support merchandising team for claim negotiation.
? Frequent travel to visit China suppliers factories
Requirements
? Degree in Quality Control or related disciplines
? A minimum of 5 years working experience in a retail or retail related environment for UK/European market or International buying office
? Strong product knowledge in AV product / Home appliance for consumer electronic / Wood, bamboo furniture (indoor / outdoor) manufacturing and design for building products.
? Familiar with US, British and European standards of above field
? Good command of written and spoken English and Mandarin, Cantonese is an advantage
? Able to work under stress and meet deadlines
? High degree of work ethics and integrity
? Strong communication skill, self-motivated, independent, detailed-mind & responsible
This is a challenging job with good promotion opportunities with 5-days work per week.
