Senior Electronic Engineer– Job Profile Summary
Scope of the Senior Electronic Engineer is to manage all the aspects related to electronic/electrical parts of the products.
It collaborates with
Engineering Dept. in order to give support during New Product Developed.
Quality Dept. to assure the conformity and the full functionality of electronics/electrical components.
Marketing Dept. to make concrete the new ideas, in particular the ones related to new functionings and new designs.
Supply Chain Dept. in order to check/confirm new potential supplier
Description
Electronic engineers work on a project from the initial brief, through the design and development stage, to the testing of one or more prototypes, right through to final manufacture and implementation.
A Senior Electronic Engineer usually performs many of the following tasks:
? Follow with the Electronic Suppliers the project of new electronic boards from the tech.specs to the first production at all levels: schematics, layout specifications, software, reliability, bill of material. Follow the EMC test in order to assure the conformity to the Standards. Follow the reliability test and gives the approval to use the new electronic boards in the final product. Manage the first production/prototipation of the electronic boards. Manage the maintenance of all electronics/electric components by finding and testing alternatives
? Provide technical support to the R&D Dept. during New Product Development and decide the electronic/electrical components that meet the requirements of new developed products.
? Designing the test regarding new components/new technologies and study the possibility to use/substitute the current ones. In this way it is a support to choose a new technical partner or a new supplier. Meet and discuss with new supplier the introduction of alternatives.
? Manage the database of the electronic/electromechanical boards documentations thus following the process of Approval of new products. Give all the required information to Certification Bodies.
? Establishes with customer who request a technical reference for new products an open, regular, communication including conference calls, web-conferences, meetings . Give official test reports and all the data needed on new products, also beyond the Standards
? Manage claims from the market/customer related to electronical/electrical aspects.
? Defines and monitor Anti Value Erosion Projects ????
