Senior Quality Engineer
We have opened a new branch office in Hangzhou (Shaoxing) and are looking for a senior quality engineer with experience in wood or bamboo furniture or building materials immediately.
USC is a branch office of our Hong Kong based, Western owned consumer and building products company with a sister office in Shenzhen. The company has been in business over 12 years and we ship millions of units of product per year in many different categories to retailers and importers around the world.
We are looking for the right person to support our building products division to specifically handle: Flooring, Fencing & Decking. Experience in wood required with experience in bamboo helpful
Areas of Responsibilities:
- Work with suppliers to improve quality
- Troubleshoot quality and production issues
- Work with overseas customers directly
- On-going factory visits and status reporting
- Implement quality standards and processing
- Conduct factory evaluations
- Work with 3rd party test labs
- Implement corrective action plans
- Accompany customers to factory visits
- Report to Hong Kong office
Requirements
- Quality degree in Manufacturing Engineering/ Production Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering or related disciplines
- 5 years or above experience in manufacturing/ engineering/ quality/ production related industry; experience in supervisory level is preferred
- Solid experience in Quality Assurance. Experience in PRC manufacturing environments or Test Lab preferred
- Strong ability in communicating effectively with customers, test labs and vendors on quality related issues
- Good command of written and spoken English and Mandarin, Cantonese is an advantage
- Independent, responsible and self-motivated
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Travel is required to suppliers mainly in Zhejiang Province
This is a challenging job with good promotion opportunities with 5-days work per week.
