Position Title (common name): Senior Hardware RD Engineer (Digital Circuit, FPGA)
POSITION TASKS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary Duty (% of Time)
Perform feasibility analysis of product proposals which includes simulations and /or lab experiments.
Develop block diagrams and top level specifications. After approval, documents design and test
specifications. Develop tasks and schedules. Communicate progress against commitments. (20%)
Designs and test through simulations and or lab experiments to validate the designs. Develop
test benches for validating designs. (30%)
Validates and characterizes with hardware (boards) against specifications. Documents results. (30%)
Assists Manufacturing in solving production problems.
Assists field engineers to solve customers’ issues.
Train fresh engineers and lead them to work as a team. (15%)
Assist in the continuous improvement of the development processes to enhance quality and productivity. (5%)
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Must
1. MS in Electrical Engineering or EE & CS.
2. 5+ years experience in Digital systems development.
3. Experienced in modern digital design methodologies such as
RTL synthesis and simulation, timing analysis and noise management.
4. Experienced in FPGA programming, simulation and tools.
5. Commitment to fast cycle times and quality
6. Good communication skills.
7. Able to read, understand and converse in English.
Desired
1. Knowledge in semiconductor test systems.
2. Experienced in PCB design tool set.
3. Experienced in PCI-E applications.
4. Experienced in DDR3 applications.
5. Experienced in Xilinx products.
