Title and Location:
Sourcing Technician. Suzhou, China.

Scope:
The Sourcing Technician ensures on behalf of KHW that the KHW suppliers in a given Material Area in China fulfil the different KHW technical, quality and environmental requirements. The task is to pro-actively work with suppliers in order to secure the quality from the very beginning of incoming materials, production, plating and final inspection.

Reporting Line:
Commercial Representative, Suzhou.

Responsibilities:
-Work with cost improvements (product and production improvements).
-Secure KHW Quality & Environmental demands on the suppliers and products and support the suppliers in fulfilling the requirements.
-Support and supervise the production planning and the actual production of KHW products at the suppliers.
-Actively work with technical and material development.
-Claim and corrective action handling.
-Contribute to the business development within the team.
-Work with product documentation.
-Implement and work with Quality Templates / product.
-Implement and work with Q HANDBOOK / supplier.
-Implement and work with KHW Drawing Management / supplier.
-Support the start-up, development and discontinuation of suppliers.
-Support the suppliers in fulfilling the Quality and Environmental requirements of KHW.

General requirements:
-Msc Mechanics/Engineering.
-Minimum 3-5 years of work experience preferably within multinational companies.
-A profound knowledge and experience of the production processes/production planning &
management and the material characteristics/performance within the given material area.
-Experience in quality systems and supplier audits.
-Good understanding of relevant branch norms within the industry/business area.
-Good knowledge about cost drivers in production.
-Able to work with and understand suppliers’ daily operational activities.
-Understand how the KHW product range meets the customer's requirements.
-Knowledge of the different relevant KHW information systems (cad, solid works).
-Fluent English.
