Safety Assistant

Work Location: Suzhou

Reporting to: H&S Manager

People Management Responsibility: No

Job Objectives:

Assist Regional H&S Manager to implement safety programs in China Region, works in close collaboration with colleagues from Office H&S Advisors and construction safety group.

Main Responsibilities:

1.Perform safety jobs in China Region (under instructions by Regional H&S Manager)

Incident Reporting Program - Responsible for maintaining incident database and developing incident lessons learned for sharing within all offices/ projects.

Safety Training Program – planning training schedule, assist Regional H&S Manager or qualified safety trainers to conduct safety classroom training, check and track the safety training completions required.

Assist Regional H&S Manager to conduct monthly safety coordination conference call, develop agenda, meeting minutes preparing and delivering.

Collect safety data and information from all BU and offices.

Assist Regional H&S Manager to prepare Monthly Safety Performance Report.

Safety procedures and documents translation

2.Perform safety jobs – EPCM (under instructions by Regional H&S Manager)

Assist Regional H&S Manager to conduct monthly construction safety conference call, develop agenda, meeting minutes preparing and delivering.

Collect weekly safety reports and assemble safety data from all running construction projects.

Assist Regional H&S Manager to schedule the site audits, and follow up with each site on the implementation and improvement action plans in their projects to meet the safety standards established.

Requirements:

1.Education level: Bachelor degree, majored in safety /chemical engineering or other equivalent

2.Working experience: graduate, or 1-2 years working experience

3.Willing to travel

4.Special requirements / skills:

·Good communication and presentation skills

·Strong learning capability

·Fluent English skills in speaking, learning, writing and reading.

·Strong computer skills (MS office) experience

·Good organizational and time management skills
