C++ Software Engineer

We are looking for a talented and ambitious developer to join a technical savvy team that is developing cutting edge technology that is used by the likes of Universal Music, Activision (creator of the Call of Duty game franchise), Nestle, Johnson & Johnson and Kellogg's.

The Role

You will help us build next-generation of our core commerce platform.

As a C++ Developer you will be responsible for generating elegant and robust code which solves technically challenging problems within a wider 2.0 web application framework.


Responsibilities

Write server-side code for web-based applications, create robust high-volume production applications, and develop prototypes quickly.

Build our platforms, systems and networking infrastructure using your strong background in distributed systems, Object-oriented Design and Analysis (OOAD), Software modeling and simulation and network system design.
Specialist domains: UI development with AJAX, WebServices and similar technologies, client application development for Windows/Mac (Chrome, Toolbar, etc.), embedded systems and mobile apps (Android), developer tools (IDEs, large-scale build systems, compilers), internationalization.

Requirements

BS or MS in Computer Science or related technical discipline (or equivalent).
2 to 3 years extensive programming experience in C/C++ (strong OOAD skills preferred).
Deep understanding of multi-threading and concurrent software architecture
Familiarity with Web 2.0 and Open Source concept and environment
Several years of large systems software design and development experience, with extensive knowledge of Unix/Linux.
A solid foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design.
Coding skills in Java/Javascript/AJAX, database design and SQL, and/or knowledge of TCP/IP and network programming are a plus.
Experience building commercial software products as part of a close knit team
Spoken and written skill in English and Chinese
