职位描述：
The person is directly responsible for:
? Evaluation of the product development request based on agreed business plans entered by the requestor (sales, production)
? Creating product development plans
? Performing production tests
? Evaluation of the new prototypes based on the laboratory and test kitchen testing
? In cooperation with sales team preparing testing at customers
? Quality of the new prototypes prepared for testing at test kitchen and at customers.
? Planning R&D budget including tests hours to Nantong Financial director
? Planning and organising of the production tests and activities on monthly basis.
? R&D budget planning and control.

In future she/he might be responsible for hiring new product development technologists for Nantong factory.

The person will create
? SOP for the new products and technologies.
? BOM for the new products
? Norms of the new products for mfg calculation
? New laboratory methods for more effective assessment of the new products
? The person does monitoring of the R&D costs on monthly basis

The role involve
It might be required to travel for training and customers visits outside and inside of China.

The person will communicate to her/his manager and Devro global product development manager:
? Monthly achievements on product development
? Monthly expenditure of the labour hours spent on NPR and on particular projects
? work.

The job is done on day shifts at Nantong factory, however occasionally the stay on night shifts would be necessary when tests productions are performed.

Qualifications and education:
(E = essential, D = desirable)

Chemical technology university degree (E)
Field of study preferably biochemistry, meat technology, hydrocolloids (D)
Knowledge in statistical evaluation (D), design of experiments methodology (D)
Knowledge of HACCP system in food industry (D)

Fluent spoken and written Chinese (E)
English spoken (D) or Fluent spoken and written English (D)

Experience:
Working in the product development teams (D)
Leading product development teams (D)
Experience in utilisation of information technologies MS Word, Excel, Lotus Notes, Power point (E)

Relevant skills:
Results driven, meeting product development targets (E)
Produce innovative and creative ideas for development of the new products and improvement of the production yields. (E)
Communication and organisation skills (E)
Team working (E)

Other:
Flexible for travelling and spending time in the Nantong factory on evening shifts and weekends. (E)
  
It is expected that the person will be self-motivating and will be willing to learn new knowledge in collagen casing, mathematical statistics, biochemistry , people management.
