Our Client
Our client is world leading food ingredients organisation; they currently have strong foot print cross Europe, American, and Asia. In China, they currently already have two manufactory plants.

Job Responsibilities


Sales and Marketing Director will have full responsibility for the Sales and Marketing domain within Asia.



He/she will define a detailed action plan to get the Business on track within China and Asia, both from a revenue and volume viewpoint. This entails identifying and strengthening alliances with distribution partners and key accounts within Asia. He/she will work closely together with the production plant in China, as well as other plants from the global network.



He/she must nurture and strengthen external relationships in order to expand their presence in the marketplace as well as leverage these connections to provide a competitive edge moving forward. Next to the development of our sales in the food and pharma market, we expect you also to develop the market for cold soluble as well as collagen hydrolysate.



He/she must define and execute the sales strategies and budgets in the Asian region for the complete assortment and covering the different fundamental industries in the market in line with the global business and marketing strategy with the objective to maximize contribution.



This includes the following activities:


· Maximize contribution and guarantee long term sustainability (qualify potential customers, proposal management, contract management) .


· Determines account management according to the value-selling principles.


· Determines, implements and manages regional price schedules and budgets.


· Translates the overall objectives into specific sales targets for the sales team members.


· Contact with all major customers and negotiates and enforces supply contracts with regional and global key accounts.


· Drives efforts toward achievement of the approved supplier status with prospective customers.



He/she must define and execute the business development/marketing strategies in the Asian region.


· This includes the following activities:


· Identifies and implements strategic direction, key business drivers and systematically directs operational performance to ensure optimum market positioning.


· Performs market and competitor's analysis.


· Defines regional tactical pricing, regional distribution strategy, and promotion strategy.


· Performs corporate reviews of sales performance and identifies areas for maximizing contribution.


· Promotes the product line through advertising, sales promotions and trade shows in line with the global guidelines



He/she needs to organize and manage the Customer Service and the regional Technical support to ensure optimal service and support to regional customers.



Successful Candidate


We are looking for a high energy person, who drives performance and delivers results in a timely and efficient manner, and a strong team builder capable of motivating his team and the plants to work on the realization of our common strategy. He/She has shown success at building relationships quickly to mobilize resources as needed to achieve operational and budgetary objectives. A natural "networker" whose persistency and passion develops appropriate internal and external relationships across all relevant stakeholder.



Other key requirements include:


· Bachelor's degree preferably Marketing, Business or other related field.


· A can-do attitude with a motivation to win.


· Proven Experience in an international company.


· Has a specific knowledge of the regional markets and Sales and Marketing experience in the fundamental industries of the gelatins market. (Food, food ingredients, pharma, gelatins) .


· Speaks fluently English and Chinese.


· Has proven ability to set stretch goals, create and sustain energy and clarity around the business strategy while continually identifying and cultivation key contributors.


· Shown capability to build, communicate and execute a vision for strategic and operational change and create a sense of urgency throughout the organization
