Purpose of the Position:
As supervisor of the accounting operations of our Kunshan factory in China. Key responsibilities cover accounting, reporting, cash flow management, standard costing management and internal controls & SOX compliance, taxation in China.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support China Finance Director on the accounting operations, ensure all transactions and analyses are completed on time and accurately to support the month end closing of head office;
- Implement and continuously improve internal controls in a factory setting that ensure accurate reporting and proper safeguarding of company assets;
- Prepare the annual budget and monthly rolling forecast on a timely basis;
- Provide timely and accurate monthly financial reporting package and statutory financial report;
- Ensure corporate accounting policies & procedures are adhered to;
- Coordinate and support internal and external audit;
- Provide timely and accurate tax filing;
- Provide timely and accurate cost variance report;
- Provide timely and accurate weekly cash flow and P&L rolling forecast;
- Analyze variations from forecasts and prior periods to provide accurate explanations for variances and support constituencies in determining countermeasures
- Provide leadership to improve financial results in the area of Operating Profit &Working Capital (lower inventory (QIT), higher trade payables (DPO).
Process Objectives:
- Weekly reporting of sales and monthly financial data to upper management;
- Review the Accounts Receivable entry on a daily basis;
- Process returns and credits to customers;
- Monitor collections and follow up with customers that are past due on a daily/weekly basis;
- Maintain sales data spreadsheet on a monthly basis;
- Weekly reporting of sales and collection issues to management;
- Monitor and prepare sales analytics on a monthly basis;
- Prepare daily and monthly reoccurring journal entries;
- Reconciliation of Balance Sheet accounts on a monthly basis;
- Perform the bank reconciliation on a monthly basis;
- Coordinate and support month/year end internal or external audits;
- Monitor and reconcile inventory reports with the warehouses on a monthly basis;
- Coordinate month end closing;
- Prepare cash flow forecast on a weekly/monthly/annually basis;
- Prepare sales and financial forecast on a monthly basis;
- Prepare the financial reporting package and statutory financial report on a monthly basis;
- Manage Cashier as it relates to AP and additional accounting duties;
- Review the Accounts Payable entry/Expense report on a daily basis;
- Run payment based on AP aging report/approve payment on the E-banking on a weekly basis.
- Maintain the standard cost and current cost of the products on a daily/yearly basis;
- Prepare the actual costing report on a monthly basis, provide variance report (actual vs. standard) with comments to upper management;
- Tax filing on a monthly/quarterly/yearly basis;
- Assist Finance Director in preparing business documents.

Key Competencies (rank ordered)
- Excellent knowledge and practical understanding of local accounting standards and US GAAP;
- Proven experiences in managing factory accounting – standard costing, variance analysis;
- Good knowledge of China Taxation law;
- Good knowledge of local statutory requirements;
- Good command of English;
- Independent and strong sense of integrity;
- Good interpersonal and communication skills;
- Use of financial reporting tools such as Microsoft Excel to improve productivity in providing timely and accurate financial statements;
- Proven experiences in using Yongyou ERP system
Education
- Bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting or related major;
- Middle-level accounting certification, CPA or equivalent preferred.
