Overview & Description:
The role of Sales & Business Development Manager –Asia Pacific is a critical role for the growth of Allure. There is considerable potential to grow our market share outside the US with both new and existing customer accounts. This growth will be driven by leveraging our parent company’s current Asia Pacific infrastructure and expanding our partnerships in existing verticals in China. The Sales & Business Development Manager will be responsible for developing direct customer accounts in existing and new customer sales verticals. The ideal applicant should possess experience with Digital Media Solutions, Interactive Technologies, POS applications, and/or other retail merchandising solutions. Candidate should be familiar with the retail beverage market and its sales and marketing relationships with food service retailers. Qualified candidates should possess a competitive nature, be an experienced team player, and exhibit a high degree of self-motivation.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
The primary function of the Director, Sales & Business Development – Asia Pacific role is to meet or exceed the following:
Assist in developing business plan and strategy for selling Allure solutions into Asia markets that ensures attainment of company sales goals and profitability.
Foster relationship with partners to develop joint Sales strategy within aligned Sales channels.
Create and conduct proposal presentations to dealers, customers, and partners.
Work with channel partners to develop go-to market strategy with measurable goals.
Develop and carry out comprehensive account plans and strategies to win new business with both new and existing partners.
Help align Allure’s product roadmap and strategy with partner and key client initiatives in the Asia Pacific market.
Project Manage partner led initiatives where partner is the economic "buyer" to assist in initial successful implementation on Allure solutions in the Asia Pacific market.
Assist in the design and recommendation of Allure Asia Pacific sales and marketing programs, as well as setting short-and long-term Asia Pacific sales strategy.
Must be aware of variances in cultural and legal issues pertaining to sales.
Develop and maintain key relationships with Asia Pacific prospects, customers and partners.
Work with HR and Legal departments to assist in the development of international sales contracts in Asia Pacific markets.
Work closely with the Operations, Creative Services, Marketing and Support Services teams to ensure customer requirements are met on a timely basis.
Preferred Qualifications & Education:
A successful candidate shall be energetic, effective, self-starter with strong verbal and written communication skills (both English & Chinese) who is able to excel in an international sales environment. Other qualifications include:
BA / BS or equivalent degree required.
Fluent in Chinese and English written and oral communications.
5 – 10 years of retail technology or related sales/marketing experience preferred.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding goals for prospecting, qualifying, and closing new business.
Experience in solution based selling.
Technologically advanced and oriented. Must have above average computer and technical skills to navigate the communication barriers of frequent international travel.
Strong understanding and knowledge of both Chinese and American culture.
Strong written/ interpersonal, communication and presentation skills (Chinese & English).
Business analytical skills and knowledge of technology industry.
Flexibility and wiliness to travel up to 35% of the time.
China-based candidates only - no relocation provided.
