What you will be doing
? Reporting to the Merchandise Manager for day to day activities
? Managing an Assistant Merchandiser
? Sourcing products for your category, identification of new products and production facilities
? Liaising with the QA team for samples checking and approval
? Checking that products meet buyers expectations, providing a high spec brief to suppliers and producers
? Obtaining quotes on price, delivery and packaging on behalf of the buyers
? Negotiation of trading terms
? Managing supplier relationships
? Preparing documentation and products for buying trips and fairs
What you'll bring
? Excellent verbal and written English, as you will be working with suppliers and local and international offices and CET-6 English levels
? Independence sourcing experience for food from a buying office or foreign retailers
? A can do attitude, great work ethic, team spirit, attention to detail and reassurance that the job can be done.
