Position: Healthcare Financial Operations Analyst – Revenue & HIS Specialist

Facility: Shanghai United Family Hospital and Clinics

Department: Finance/Revenue Operations

Summary of Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for ensuring the integrity of revenue across UFH facilities in Shanghai. The principle responsibility of this position will be to ensure the accurate and timely reporting of various analyses and metrics related to revenue and volumes that will be utilized in the decision making process of senior administrators and business unit managers. These tasks will include, but are not limited to, an assortment of analytical functions such as collecting/auditing data, evaluating data quantitatively, modeling data trends, reporting on performance indicators, automating processes, documenting process requirements and collaborating with departments across the organization.

Qualifications (Sex, Age, Education, Experience, Language Requirement):
? Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
? Strong oral and written English communication skills
? Must be willing to work overtime as needed
? Proficiency in MS office products (including Access) with expert skills in Excel
? Minimum 2 years experience in an accounting or finance related position dealing with financial planning and analysis.

Knowledge & Skills:
? Should possess advanced quantitative skills as well as the ability to manage and analyze large quantities of data
? Must possess a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
? Highly organized with good time management skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments in a fast paced environment
? Must be able to maintain highest level of professional integrity and confidentiality
? Strong cultural sensitivity and interpersonal skills,
? Excellent analytical & problem solving skills
? Capable of working independently and proactive in seeking out information and solutions as well as working with a counterpart to jointly achieve objectives
? Knowledge of financial terminology and analytical techniques
? Strong understanding of business operations, reporting and forecasting processes
? Familiarity with analytical software, preferably an ERP system such as JD Edwards, SAP, etc.
Responsibilities:
Reporting
? Working with the FP&A counterpart, prepare reports and presentations for financial and operational performance focusing on revenue and its major drivers.
? With the assistance of your counterpart, lead in the implementation of systems to facilitate the creation of reports and dashboards used to drive operating decisions and service improvements.
? Assimilate the Health Information System (HIS) into the organization’s reporting capabilities on revenue and volumes.
? Perform quality assurance tests on HIS generated transaction data to ensure revenue integrity and accuracy of data capture particularly for revenue, discounts, and receivables.
? Report on facility level key performance indicators as well as key metrics for the revenue cycle.
? Collaborate with counterpart in the preparation of annual operating budgets, monthly projections, and long term operating models.
? Carry out maintenance and enhancement efforts on reporting products as necessary.
Analysis
? Analyze key performance indicators on the facility and business unit level in addition to key revenue cycle metrics to identify as well as quantify risks and opportunities that will increase revenues.
? Investigate significant findings and communicate root causes for variances in revenue/discounts compared to budget and prior year.
? Identify relevant unit statistics for use in revenue analysis, forecasting, and budgeting.
? Reconcile key general ledger accounts, prepare ending balances reports, and make adjusting journal entries for period end closes.
? Support Coding and Business Office staff in pricing analysis for services and packages.
? Develop revenue projections for return on investment analysis for capital expenditures.
Others
? Collect and organize documentation from various teams for internal and external SOX404 audits.
? Provide training to department managers on tools available for use in making business decisions.
? Support CROO in ad-hoc analyses.
? Perform other duties and responsibilities as may be required by management.
