Electronics Lead Engineer
(Location: Shanghai)

This position offers an excellent opportunity to play a lead role in a high-performance and expanding hardware design team. This position is ideally suited for a motivated individual who is energetic, takes initiative and has a broad understanding of electronics and RF engineering. You will need to work independently with minimum supervision, as well as being able to fit in with a very dynamic, fast pace and global team.

Key Responsibilities

1. Deliver automatic identification products & solutions meet market needs, applicable regulatory and industry standards
2. Provide technology leadership in terms of hands-on electronics/electrical design, design reviews and solution projections during new product developing, continue engineering and value engineering
3. Report pertinent information regularly on team or project status through clear spoken and written communications
4. Support to build up core competencies of electronics design team aligning with business needs, manage and coach junior engineers

Key Accountabilities

1. Produce accurate electronics design data including, but not limited to, specifications, manuals, schematics, bills of materials, costing, source codes, mechanical drawings, engineering instructions, illustrations, test procedures, etc.
2. Identify and analyze EE design problems to achieve optimal solutions that satisfy cost and technical requirements
3. Support design reviews, both customer and internal as required
4. Participate in project planning and meet committed timelines
5. Work with testing team to develop and implement appropriate test processes, tools and procedures. Review and approve test reports
6. Define or tailor design processes and working flows involving other departments to ensure designs are high quality while still practical to manufacture and cost effective
7. Complete annual goal setting and performance assessment of subordinates in timely manner
8. Ensure all technical deliverables well documented and managed
9. Follow all Health and Safety requirements.

Specific Skills / Background Required:

1. Master or Bachelor degree in Electronics Engineering or related;
2. 8 years or above full lifecycle electronics product development experience with project management senses
3. Solid knowledge of Microcontrollers & Processors (8/16/32-bit inc ARM & DSPs), FPGA/CPLD, Digital/Analog/Power electronics, RF Mesh/Bluetooth/Serial communications (devices & modules)
4. Proficient in PCB design, layout & debug, expert with tools like Protel, Cadence, etc;
5. Experienced in EMC testing & compliance, automated testing, as well as using standard testing equipment
6. Experience of PCI and EMV compliances would be desired
7. Excellent analytical and diagnosis skills with a common sense approach to problem solving
8. Good command of spoken and written English is must;
9. Team player with demonstrated commitment to growth and continuous improvement;
10. Willingness to change and Can-Do attitude
