RESPONSIBILITIES:

In addition to the duties and responsibilities outlined below, the person filling the role will be required to perform other duties assigned by the Manager from time to time.



· To develop and maintain our products by implementing new functionalities, repairing faults or producing patches on request using COBOL coding standards and Infor development processes.

· Implement new functions according to the use cases documentation written by BA.

· Investigate and repair reported product faults as assigned by Manager.

· Investigate and develop patches for reported product faults / enhancement requests as assigned by Manager.

· Carry out Unit Testing and incorporate it into the daily build.

· To ensure all changes are updated and documented in the appropriate source repository.

· Mentor junior developers and contribute to the build-up of team.



In all cases, such tasks are to be completed as per agreed schedules, to a high quality, and conformant with prevailing development standards and practices.



In carrying out all of the above, the person filling the role shall at all times act in accordance with the company's business strategy and Quality Policy, and in compliance with all corporate and departmental policies, procedures, and other requirements.




Required Skills:

· > 3 years COBOL (ANSI 85) knowledge and programming experience, Micro Focus COBOL preferred.

· > 2 years Relational Database & Embedded SQL skills on SQL Server or Oracle.

· > Knowledge of source control tools (Clear Case, Subversion).

· > Understanding of full software development lifecycle and methodologies

· > Experience of working with Financials systems would be a distinct advantage. In particular, experience using SunSystems Financials

· > Able to demonstrate good English oral & written communication skills
