The Portfolio Leader will report directly to the Asia Risk Leader. The primary responsibilities of the role include;
- Minimizing losses through the early identification and assessment of non-performing accounts.
- Management of Watchlist Reporting and related Loss provisioning
- Problem loan workout, end of finance rescheduling
- Handling Litigation and insolvency matters related to Customers
- Day to day management, training & development of assigned Field Audit & Account / Portfolio Management staff.
- Oversight responsibility for all “Deal Closing” procedures including legal & regulatory filings, condition fulfilment and operating system maintenance (for future tracking / renewals)
- Responsibility for all “Know Your Customer” / Anti-Money Laundering control procedures within the Line of Business.
- Responsibility for managing Credit insurance related activities including Policy Compliance and Reporting needs.
- Ensuring accounts assigned to Account Managers are being monitored and managed in accordance with CDF’s proprietary portfolio control policies and procedures.
- Managing quality of control and records in operating systems (AIMS) for Dealers in CDF Asia.
- Carrying out rigorous reviews of work-queues and initiating appropriate follow-up activity.
- Ensuring action and closure rates on workflow items for accounts assigned to staff in line with expected and regularly measured standards.
- Escalation of issues and concerns to senior management on a timely and thoughtful basis.
- Controlling delinquency monitoring processes, Watchlist Reporting and initiating debt recovery activities with both Clients and Dealers
- Overall responsibility for customer refund or waiver requests ensuring appropriate controls and adherence to Policy
- Ensuring that Deal Closing procedures are maintained and followed with specific focus on legal & regulatory filings, fulfilment of conditions precedent & customer on-boarding (training / systems & performance standards)
- Scheduling of Field Audits, quality control and cost / time efficiency management to optimize the use of available resources, technologies and third-party services across the Asia region.
- Specific focus on assigning workloads, Field Audit planning and execution in China with adherence to defined processes & the specific needs of the Chinese market.
- Training & development of assigned Field Audit & Account / Portfolio Management staff
- Ensuring all collateral controls and monitoring standards are maintained including but not limited to Inventory inspections, collateral assessments (both physical and virtual) & remediation of collateral deficits.
- Managing KYC/AML procedures in relation to Vendors, Dealers and Investors including collation of all necessary documentation & periodic screening as prescribed by the local Financial Crime team and helping resolve any queries arising
- On-going portfolio monitoring including filtering and escalation of screening hits
- Setting and monitoring portfolio reporting processes in relation to participation agreements
- Leading ad-hoc projects assigned from time to time.
Requirements to candidates:
- 5+ years of proven experience in Account Management or Collections / Portfolio Control preferably in a fast moving commercial finance environment. 7+ total working experience in related functions.
- Demonstration of leadership experience
- A clear thinker who can translate strategy into specific goals and objectives
- Proven ability to effectively negotiate and influence
- Has imagination to confront difficult circumstances in a creative way and pushes for success

- Ability to stay abreast of market and portfolio trends and industry best practices.
- Fluency in English. Mandarin language skills strongly desired but not mandatory.
