Responsibilities:

1. To work closely with Product Group and other Engineering Personnel to model existing and new products by applying knowledge of physics, mechanical design and materials.

2. To use analysis software such as Ansys and Fluent effectively and efficiently to model products as requested. Constantly develop skills when using these numerical codes in order to enhance the capabilities within the group.

3. Produce written reports upon completion of projects and deliver oral presentations when required.

4. To use 2D and 3D CAD modeling packages effectively to produce geometry for importing into analysis codes.

5. Providing advice on mechanical design, structural - stress problems, material selection, taking into account practical and cost implications of ideas and solutions.

6. Keeping abreast of the latest developments in the field of FEA and CFD and applying knowledge to develop new processes that will deliver process improvement.

7. Provide technical support to others within group. (Knowledge sharing).

Requirement:

1. Bachelor or Master degree in Gas Engineering/Energy/Mechanical design/Engineering

2. Have working experience of CFD or FEA modeling software (Fluent, Ansys, and Gambit are preferred competence/experience in the use of one of these packages).

3. Experience of mechanical design, valve technique, manufacturing and material science would be of benefit.

4. Proficiency in CAD/CAE software (One Space Designer, Pro-Engineer, AutoCAD)

5. Personal drive for quality, thoroughness and safe practices;

6. Good command of English (written/oral)
