Job Description
? Operationally responsible for managing the in country print buyers which consists of providing Marketing Services to external clients
? Responsible for the financial and people management, building a professional working relationship with client contacts and ultimately ensuring that a first class service is delivered.
? Represent Williams Lea Tag in the eyes of the client, and deliver the KPI’s on a daily basis.
? Co-ordinate the activities of the team in order to achieve the strategic aims of both the client, and Williams Lea Tag.
? Managing the local Print Hub teams, to ensure that the most appropriate supplier is selected, best cost and time-scales for each job are set and that any benchmarking is accurate
Key Responsibilities
Client:
■ Develop excellent relationships with day to day clients
■ Develop excellent relationship with operational ‘Partners’
■ Builds relationships across the business e.g. into marketing and purchasing organisations
■ Responsible for major campaign management and operational problem resolution
■ Build relationships with users and manage their perception and expectations
■ Identify opportunities for business growth and highlight to line manager
■ Support line manager in the implementation of new contracts or services
■ Gain a good understanding of client business and share this knowledge with all employees
■ Develop and implement a local business/action plan.
■ Ensure all process and documented systems are completed in an accurate and timely manner
Finance:
■ Use the information provided by management and bespoke reports to maximise purchasing benefits and maintain the stock compliance policy
■ Assist in preparation of the monthly invoice
■ Profit enhancement for business area
■ Production and analysis of monthly management report
■ Assist in the production and analysis of management information and KPI's for head office and the client
■ Actively participate in the contract review process.
People:
■ Performance management of direct reports (including absence management)
■ Ensure effective two-way communication with direct reports
■ Coach and develop direct reports
■ Recruit and select employees as appropriate
■ Succession plan for key operational roles
■ Review organisation structure and undertake recruitment needs analysis as required
■ Manage and analyse labour turnover.
Operations:
■ Provide technical input and advise on print projects as required
■ Manage the local Hub Teams to assist in the procurement of print (in particular Point of Sale material), delivering on time, to specification, to quality and to contractual targets
■ Management of campaigns and components
■ Develops strong relationships with suppliers
■ Implements and uses management information systems
■ Ensures best practice in conjunction with wider Williams Lea Tag operations group
■ Measure customer satisfaction and take appropriate action
■ Set and review local operating procedures on a regular basis
■ Measure KPI's and service standards against agreed and obligated levels
■ Predict potential areas of shortfall and implement remedial action as necessary
■ Seek and develop opportunities for process improvements and enhancements
■ Work alongside the local Client Services Director in co-ordinating the activities of the local Print Hub teams
■ Works with the local Print Hub Teams to consolidate production and to coordinate multi-country campaigns
■ Provide support for Client Services Director and Account Executives as required
■ Identify potential areas of conflict and escalation to the Client Services Director where appropriate
■ Be an informed and authoritative point of contact for key stakeholders to address any contract, transactional or supplier issues.
■ Deep understanding of Immedia operations and the ability to support training/daily operations where less experienced users need it
Person Specification
■ Significant print industry experience in either purchasing or production management. POS knowledge an advantage
■ To be fluent in written and spoken Chinese and English
■ Experience of working closely with agencies, and inputting at the design stages
■ Positive communication and interpersonal skills at a very high level
■ Credible at all levels within client, partner and agency organisations
■ Strong commercial awareness, ability to plan and negotiate
■ Dynamic, yet detail-orientated outlook
■ Self motivated, able to work with the minimum of supervision
■ Capable of developing and implementing plans and strategy
■ Able to manage and motivate team using leadership skills
