Summary

The Linux Systems Administrator with network experience is responsible for the health and operations of our telecommunication platform based on Linux systems. He will also contribute to the execution of various projects and will act as a second level support for the Ubisoft worldwide network (including 7/24 pager support). The scope includes the global management of our network devices, as well as firewalls and VPN technologies.

Mission

The main responsibilities and routine tasks of the Administrator are to:

· Install and maintain various Linux system based network equipment, including Wi-Fi, switches, routers, load balancers, and wan optimization appliances;

· Deploy and maintain Site-to-Site VPN infrastructure;

· Manage company firewalls and their rule sets;

· Monitor and troubleshoot network infrastructure and services;

· Enforce network security policies and procedures;

· Perform proactive network capacity management activities;

· Maintain documentation regarding network hardware and software;

· Participate to the definition of standards, guidelines, best practices and metrics as directed;

· Assist in evaluating new requirements, technical design and standards;

· Answer user’s query and service requests;

· Carry out all other related tasks.

Training

A baccalaureate Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Mathematics or a related field.

CCNP certification is an asset

Relevant experience

5+ years of experience in Linux system administration or Network administration in a large organization.

· Skill in developing techniques and methodologies to resolve unprecedented problems or situations

· Have good interpersonal communication skills

· Ability to work effectively in a fast paced changing environment

Knowledge

· Oral and written comprehension of English

· Deep knowledge of Linux operating systems

· Familiar with Cisco switches and routers, and in the configuration of IOS

· Familiar with network technologies, protocols and concepts, such as TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, HTTP,

· Good knowledge of Linux-based network infrastructure

· Good knowledge of HA and load balancing technologies (NetScaler, Cisco ACE, F5, LVS, Nginx etc.)

· Good knowledge of IP v6 and implementation in Corporate environment

· FTP, DHCP, SMTP, CIFS, SMB, etc.

· Knowledge of iptables on Linux

· Knowledge of Cisco ASA

· Knowledge of WAN acceleration technologies

· Knowledge of Wireless technologies

· Knowledge of programming (Bash, Python, Perl, etc.）
