职位描述
Responsibilities
Area of Accountability
? Mechanical design of sheet metal items and assemblies
o Conformance to standards and processes
o On schedule to specification completion of assigned work
o Design to cost targets or better ?
? Use of PDM system
? Archiving of mechanical drawings and models
? Data sharing with stakeholders
? Ensure workstation has legal up to date CAD software packages
? Maintain security
? Make sure that approved material is on the CAD workstation
? Make sure that only approve material enters the mechanical engineering network
? Ensure that IP security policies are in place for suppliers and vendors in NPD projects
? Conformance to standards and mechanical engineering processes
? Current knowledge of Chinese mechanical engineering standards
? As directed by mechanical engineering manager status for projects
? Project reporting
? As directed by mechanical engineering manger
Duties to deliver timely fit for purpose, to or below target cost sheet metal mechanical design items for work allocated by the mechanical engineering manager. Some specific duties include but are not limited to;
?Ensure that allocated mechanical design work is delivered on-time, to specification and at or below target cost.
?Provide up to date reporting on key deliverables.
?Work to required standards as defined in NPD process documentation.
?Embrace the PPI process to continuously improve on internal systems and processes associated with mechanical engineering.
?Maintain tidy and safe working areas and ensure the mechanical engineering team does the same.
?Work in a safe and environmentally friendly manner as required by the company's codes of practice.
?Notify management immediately of: accidents, hazards, security breaches, staff behaviour problems, major incidents.
?Seek to obtain first hand information from Chinese customers regarding the local conditions that may impact the mechanical design of parts, assemblies and products also support the mechanical engineering team in obtaining such information.
?Work with suppliers and vendors to optimize designs to fill required specifications and costs.
Technical Skills & Knowledge
?5 years experience in design of sheet metal engineering using CAD 3-D modeling, Experienced in Solidworks preferred
?Sufficient degree in Mechanical engineering, master is a plus
?Computer skills in Excel, Word and Microsoft Office
