Through our hands-on consulting resources, we go beyond strategy. We provide the necessary technology architecture and implementation that well positions our clients to transform and to achieve operational excellence, manage IT complexity, better understand, predict and control risk and develop practical and productive responses to regulation.
 

Lets Get Down to Business

This position involves analysis, design, and consulting support, as well as developing an understanding of our clients’ strategic direction, issues and project goals. The successful candidate must be able to bridge the gap between user-functionality and system developers, and assist in documenting, evaluating, and translating business architectures and needs into IT applications.

As Capco works with multiple Financial Services clients across a spectrum of projects, our Consultants will be exposed to a variety of assignments including:

- Large-Scale Business / Technology Transformation
- Process Re-Engineering / Implementation
- Target Operating Model (TOM) design
- System Improvements / Upgrade
- Regulatory Compliance Remediation
- Platform Deployment

An understanding of consulting methodologies within the financial services industry (Strategy work, business case development, process mapping, lifecycle of project implementation, requirements gathering, competitive assessment) is an important factor for success in this role.

A Day in the Life

Examples of deliverables/responsibilities include:

- Preparing, facilitating, documenting and participating in client meetings/workshops
- Conducting structured data gathering, research and analysis?
- Developing and evaluating procedures, controls, user requirements and functional specifications to identify gaps between current state and future state
- Creating business requirement documents (BRD’s) into use cases/functional specifications for customization?
- Requirements gathering - Functional requirements, user stories and documenting business/data/application/technology architectures, requirements and business rules?
- Business process models/design, logical data models, standards and guidance
- Documenting and explaining problems and works to resolve software defects, whilst ensuring technical compatibility and end user satisfaction
- Analyzing, developing and proposing enhancements to current business processes, reports and applications in order to optimize system effectiveness

You will need…

- Business Analyst: 4 – 8 years’ experience
- Senior Business Analyst: 8 – 12 years’ experience
- Proficiency in both English and Mandarin, English speaking is a MUST
- A Bachelor’s degree with a major in MIS, Computer Science, Finance, Economics, Business or Financial Engineering preferred. (An advanced degree is desirable)
- A background in a Financial Services Firm (Bank, Insurer, Financial Services Consultancy, Financial Services Vendor)
- Strong presentation skills, with the ability to win over and manage stakeholder expectations
- Experience in the following areas: Retail Banking Products Knowledge in – Credit Card, Loan, Mortgage
- Business Requirements Gathering
- Current State and Future State analysis
- User Acceptance Testing
- Stakeholder Management
