WHAT WILL YOU DO?
As a Software Engineer you will take an active part in the development of our firmware used in our Network Video products. You will perform analysis, design, and implementation and write unit/functional tests of new functionality in the platform. Furthermore you will work with quality-enhancing activities such as debugging and bug fixing. The role will also include some customer interactions as the team is close to the market.

Your Responsibilities will include:
? Be responsible for product development of new Axis IP-Camera
? Work closely with internal cross-functional teams and external suppliers to define functional requirements and test cases
? Work closely with HW/QA teams to troubleshooting on all levels of software issues
? Possibly take part in global projects for product/function/feature development
? Some customer interactions as the team is close to the market

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We believe that the right person has the following background;
? Bachelor/Master degree on Computer Science, EE or Communication.
? At least 5+ years of practical experience designing and writing C and C++ multi-threaded, and multi-process software for embedded Linux systems
? Extensive camera technology experience is required
? Knowledge of IP protocols (rtsp, sip, soap, http) and video/audio streaming
? Knowledge of multimedia framework (eg. gstreamer)
? Understand operating system concepts including processes, threads, mutex, interrupt handling, and virtual memory
? Experience with scripting languages, build systems, and version control systems
? Experience with Linux device driver development appreciated
? Experience with any one of the followings appreciated
- Auto focus or auto exposure control algorithm
- ISP tuning
- Image sensor driver bring up
? Good Mandarin/English communication skills
? Excellent interpersonal communication skills, good team spirit and adaptability
? Open minded and fast learning

THE AXIS R&D CHINA TEAM

The China team is the only R&D team outside Sweden and is focused on developing functionality and products for the local market but also working close with the sales and technical support teams to provide advanced engineering services. The Axis R&D China Team is running as an independent team with a local R&D manager but with the R&D organization in Sweden available for support on an engineer to engineer level.
