Sales Engineer
Sandvik is a global industrial group with advanced products and world-leading positions in selected areas – tools for metal cutting, machinery and tools for rock excavation, stainless materials, special alloys, metallic and ceramic resistance materials as well as process systems.
Sandvik Process Systems is a leading global manufacturer of processing equipment. Key application areas are sulphur granulation, chemicals, composite manufacturing and wood based panel production.

Job Purpose:
This should be responsible for IP Processing Units, Project sales and also related aftermarket products (belts, spare parts and revamps) in specified region. Our segments are for example energy, petrochemical, chemical and fine chemical, food, flooring, sulpher and other industries. Focus can change and will be decided by the management.
Represent Sandvik in front of customers as sales engineer, implement market development and sales activities to reach sales target.
Key performance areas:
? Full responsibility of handling IP projects from beginning of enquiry->price calculation > prepare proposal >project follow up->final order, payment collection A/R. Support by engineering department and others.
? Plan and organize follow up visits to existing and potential customers with feedback to the PM (including lost order report)
? IP industry market exploring for key or focus products..
? Actively promote the product range with emphasis on the priority products
? Handle the complaint from customers and coordinate with responsible after sales team to solve the problem
? Prepare customer offers based on the "internal" offer from the application engineer
? Take active part in projects through teamwork within the SPS organisation
? Ensure prompt follow up of overdue accounts receivable with regular feedback to the PM
? Participate in fairs and marketing events of importance for the region
? Monthly review with all related departments regarding industrial processing business
? Use SMS actively as customer database
? Work actively on improving own skills
? Feedback customer and market demands
? Negotiation and finalization of contract
? Supervision and coordination of internal and external order processing
? Assistance to project management after order transfer to engineering & production with awareness of quality improvement and precision of delivery
? Maintain and development customer relationship, sensitive to potential business opportunities
Your profile:
? Strong technical understanding, logic thinking is a must, as solution organizer and planner.
? Willing to take challenge on selling chemical units to big chemical groups, can work under high pressure of following several projects at same time.
? Good communicative and organizational skills
? Strong mind on exploring new markets and customers
? Excellent communication skills in Mandarin and good English knowledge necessary.
? Willing to accept Frequent business travel during working days and in exceptions during weekend.
? Proactive, Self-motivated, flexible and good team player
? Good skills with Microsoft tools
? Good presentation skill and strong self-learning ability
? Fluent English in written and verbal
? Strong Negotiation skills and confidence
? Prioritize tasks objective-oriented, knowledge of project management
? Can read mechanical drawings and chemical process flow diagram
? Good knowledge of mechanical manufacturing/ Chemical and other processing industries.
? Ability to work independently
? Quick response and efficient working style
? Passion, string motivation and drive. Strong will to be successful
? Sense of project hunting
? Work experience at least 3 years as technical engineer or technical sales in mechanical or chemical/processing industry.
? Education: Bachelor degree, chemical mechanism or chemical processing background preferred (or other processing industry)
As a person you are proactive, self-motivated and one with lot of initiative, courage and integrity and a business minded, result oriented attitude. You also have strong communication skills and can work in an English environment.
