职位描述：
1. Take responsibility for scheme of work for ‘Chinese as Native Language’, ‘Mandarin as a Second Language’ and ‘Mandarin as a Foreign Language’
2. liaise with DUCKS and Senior School Mandarin teams to ensure continuity and progression from Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 2 to Key Stage 3
3. teach Mandarin in KS1 and KS2
4. monitor the quality of teaching practice
5. manage budget for Junior Mandarin
6. take responsibility for the ordering, auditing and storage of resources making sure that colleagues know what is available for their use
7. chair weekly meetings for the Mandarin Department ensuring that all staff have equal opportunity to contribute
8. minute meetings if applicable
9. Organize outings and visits completing Risk Assessments and organizing payment etc.
10. attend DUCKS and Junior School Staff Meetings and Briefings
11. Liaise with the J.L.T. re. the development of Mandarin
12. ensure that work is assessed according to Departmental Guidelines and that planning reflects these assessments
13. track results and maintain records
14. manage professional development of the Junior Mandarin teachers
15. report to parents in accordance with Junior School Policy
16. Identify children with A.E.N. and inform the J.L.T.
17. take responsibility, with all members of the Junior School teaching staff, for the general welfare of the children in Years 3 – 6
18. cover for absent colleagues and undertake duties as reasonably required
19. undertake appropriate Professional Development
20. participate in Staff Development through Appraisal
21. take direct responsibility for coordinating the Junior School Chinese teaching staff
