Position: Brewmaster
Reporting to: General Manager
Subordinate: 1


Dr.Beer and Dr.Wine were set up 6 years ago, owned by a French company, 5 stores in Shanghai, including 3 microbrewery bars, 2 wine bars, 230 staffs.There will be more opening coming in early 2017.

We are seeking a qualified and experienced candidate to assume the role of Brewmaster for the company. This role will be a multifunction position. You will be responsible for the following:

Responsibilities:
1. Set up production Schedule.
2. Material inventory and ordering.
3. Maintenance and cleaning SOP's.
4. Upgrading and improvements to existing and future systems.
5. Recipe control and new recipe development.
6. Coordinating with bar and office management as required.
7. Helping coordinate events both on and offsite.
8. Call outs for issues with brewery (this may be outside of normal working hours, e.g. at night or on weekends).
9. Maintaining good standing with other local craft breweries and brewers.

Requirements:
1. 3 years work in production brewery or brewpub, preferably at lead brewer level or above.
2. Management experience.
3. Ability to deal with people from other cultures, (i.e a lot of flexibility and reasoning). Note, speaking Chinese is not a requirement for this role, but basics should be picked up along the way. Experience with inventory management and ordering.
4. General Certificate Brewing, or equivalent as a minimum qualification (Diploma level candidates will be given priority).
5. Good time management skills.
6. A good eye for a clean work environment.
7. A strong passion for beer and brewing.
8. Good sense of adventure and an open mind.
